The metamorphosis of my writing began with my English Composition 101 class at Indiana State. That was my first real recognition of enjoying writing and that I possessed some writing talent. In my professional life, I mostly used my writing abilities for producing Sales related materials. An exception to this was a script I wrote for a skit that was presented in a night club during a top performers reward trip to Spain's Costa Del Sol. The overwhelming reaction of that audience let me know that my creative-writing talent was much richer than I'd previously understood. My most rewarding experience with my writing, up to now, was the seven years I got to serve as a Pen Pal in Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa's New Life Prison Fellowship Ministry. In recent years, I've continued to hone my writing skills through blogging.
Being aware of having some writing talent has seemed peculiar to me. First, though I know I do have talent as a Writer, there's something about saying so that seems a bit egotistical. With that said, I know that I'm no James Clavell. Regardless, whatever my level of writing talent is, I know it is a gift from God. And, whether it's lesser than some or greater than others, He gave it to me for His purposes. With that in mind, I've taken on a role as a Writer for Calvary Chapel Magazine. In conjunction with that change, I decided to consolidate all of my blog posts on this site. Going forward, any articles I write, aside from those I write for Calvary Chapel Magazine, will be added here, as new posts.
